Accessibility Statement
Working to make sure human-band.com functions well for absolutely everyone visiting.
Last updated: June 2026
Making human-band.com and the Hume Health app work properly for people using assistive technology matters to us just as much as it does for anyone else browsing the site. Below is a rundown of what we've done so far and where to send feedback if something's broken.
Our Benchmark
WCAG 2.1, Level AA, is what we measure human-band.com against. Concretely, that shapes choices like:
- Writing alt text that captures what's actually shown in meaningful images, and skipping it entirely for pure decoration.
- Making sure text-background contrast stays readable no matter which page you land on.
- Building every menu, form, and interactive element — mobile nav and FAQ accordions included — to be fully operable by keyboard alone.
- Structuring pages with proper headings and ARIA attributes so screen readers announce things correctly.
- Keeping layouts intact even when someone zooms in or bumps up their default font size.
A Process, Not A Milestone
We don't consider this something to finish once — the site keeps evolving, and accessibility work has to move alongside it. If you hit a wall somewhere on human-band.com or in the app, tell us. That's genuinely how things improve.
Reporting A Barrier
Come across something that assistive tech can't handle on our site or app? We want to hear it. A useful report usually includes:
- The exact page or app screen involved
- A quick description of what didn't work
- Which assistive technology, browser, or device you had running
We move fast on this kind of feedback, giving top priority to anything that blocks someone from browsing, learning about the product, or checking out.
Parts Built By Others
A handful of features on human-band.com — checkout being the clearest example — run through third-party platforms rather than our own code. We choose partners who take this seriously, but their internal implementation is outside our direct reach. Hit a snag there anyway? Flag it and we'll push the vendor or find you another way through.
