Do I have to carry my phone around all day for it to work?
No. The band records and stores everything on its own; your phone only needs to come into range periodically so the free Hume Health app (iOS and Android) can sync and show you what's happening. Several days' worth of data waits patiently on the device until that sync happens.
What happens if it gets wet?
Nothing bad — it's rated IP68, so dust can't get in and it survives being underwater at 1 meter for up to 2 hours. Showers, pool laps, and sweaty gym sessions are all within bounds.
